- Electricity in Tunisia – 220 volts AC, 50 cycles. An adapter is necessary (usually 3 pronged)
- Health – No immunizations are required for travel to Tunisia. Health facilities are available but mostly concentrated in big coastal cities! Doctors are widely available across the country but only a low proportion of them speak English. The biggest health risk in visiting Tunisia, like any other country with a hot climate, is the sun, so make sure you take precautions to protect yourself.
- How Much Money Allowed to Take into Tunisia? – One can import any amount of foreign currency into Tunisia, however, amounts over 5000 Tunisian Dinars must be declared on entry. When exchanging foreign currency into Dinars, one must keep the official exchange receipt.
- Internet Access/Wi-Fi in Tunisia – Tunisia enjoys a relatively good Internet service. Wireless networks can be found up and down the country, everywhere from restaurants and cafes, to hotels, and even Airports. - Language – Arabic is official, French used as a second language; English is widely spoken among young generation, as, to lesser degrees are Italian and German. See the article that discusses the language of Tunisia.

- Opening Hours – Business and administrative offices are closed on Saturday and Sunday, with shops only being closed on Sunday. Offices are closed for a lunch break, which may be shorter or longer but usually falls somewhere between 12.30 PM. and 2.30 PM. Retail stores and shopping malls in Tunisia usually operate from around 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. Restaurants usually operate daily from around 8:00 AM to midnight. Bars and night clubs can stay open up until 3AM, sometimes later.

- Water – Tap water used to be relatively safe to drink in Northern cities of the country, but it is no longer the case these past years as it contains particulate meaning that it is possible that it might lead to mild stomach problems. Bottled water is widely available as an alternative.
