Tunisia Now Eligible for Facebook Content Monetization3 min read

Tunisia Now Eligible for Facebook Content Monetization

Facebook has officially expanded its content monetization program to Tunisia, opening new opportunities for local creators to earn income from their online content. The announcement marks a significant step for Tunisia’s growing digital economy, allowing creators to profit directly from their videos, reels, and other published media on the platform.

A New Opportunity for Tunisian Creators

For years, content creators in Tunisia have produced engaging and widely viewed material without access to Facebook’s monetization tools available in other regions. That gap has now closed. With this change, page owners based in Tunisia can begin generating revenue through Facebook’s in-stream ads, fan subscriptions, and Stars — the platform’s tipping feature.

The update places Tunisia among the expanding list of countries where creators can build sustainable online careers using Meta’s monetization ecosystem.

“This is a major step forward for local creators,” says a Tunis-based digital marketer. “It gives professionals and independent creators alike the same earning potential that others in neighboring countries have enjoyed for years.”

How Monetization Works

Eligible creators can now link a bank account or a La Poste Tunisienne account that supports IBAN transactions to receive payments directly from Facebook.

Earnings are paid monthly in U.S. dollars, provided the creator meets the minimum payout threshold of $100 USD. Once that limit is reached, funds are automatically transferred during the next payment cycle.

For example, if a creator accumulates $100 in revenue by the end of October, the payout will be processed in November.

Early Results and Reported Earnings

Since the rollout began, several Tunisian creators have already reported notable earnings. Some have claimed to make over $50 per day, depending on the popularity and engagement level of their content.

Income levels vary based on audience demographics, video length, and adherence to Facebook’s content standards. Creators producing high-engagement videos, particularly in entertainment, education, and lifestyle niches, appear to be benefitting the most.

Growing the Digital Economy

This move by Facebook is expected to stimulate Tunisia’s online creative economy and provide new revenue streams for individuals and small media enterprises. With internet usage continuing to rise across the country, the timing is seen as ideal for expanding digital opportunities.

“Tunisian creators have proven they can compete globally,” says a regional digital strategist. “With proper access to monetization tools, we can expect to see a surge in professional content creation and local influencer development.”

How to Get Started

To join the monetization program, eligible page owners can check their status through Facebook’s Creator Studio or Meta Business Suite under the Monetization section. After linking a valid payout account and meeting the platform’s Monetization Eligibility Standards, creators can begin earning revenue from new and existing content.

Looking Ahead

Facebook’s inclusion of Tunisia in its monetization program signals a broader recognition of the region’s creative potential. It empowers Tunisian creators to not only express themselves but also to earn a living doing so — turning passion into profession.

As more creators take advantage of this opportunity, Tunisia’s place on the global digital map is likely to grow stronger, marking a new era for the country’s online creative industry.
