Top 10 Apps by all time downloads

The top most downloaded Apps and mobile games of the past decade have been announced by analytics firm App Annie. And.. We’re providing you here with the exclusive list!

The findings provided by App Annie showcased that Facebook as a company has almost the first half of the top ten list with four in total. The first on the list and the most downloaded App worldwide for the past decade is the Facebook app itself, followed by the Facebook’s messenger App, which makes sense as people will download both like a package deal.

The third and fourth spots are also Apps owned by Facebook, the encrypted messaging App WhatsApp which the social media giant acquired back in 2014 for $19 billion, and then the photo sharing platform Instagram which Facebook bought for almot $1 billion back in 2012. We can tell that aquiring Instagram for just $1 billion was a very smart move as compared to what it was actually worth in the future as in 2012 Instagram wasn’t bringing in that much revenue.

Top 10 Apps by All-Time Downloads

Well, in other word, Facebook’s dominance over our phones has been truly uncovered.

Short Video application Snapchat comes in the fifth spot followed by the video caller Skype.

The seventh and eighth spots are the only two non-US based apps, which happen to be from the same country, China, and they are TikTok and UC Browser.

In ninth place, is video sharing engine YouTube, and closing the list was the platform where everybody love to talk: Twitter.
