e-Payment Transactions in Tunisia hit yearly all-time high — surged to 830 Million in 2022.
Comparing the year 2022 to the previous year, Tunisia’s e-payment indicators indicate a strong acceleration of this form of payment.
According to the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the number of e-payment transactions climbed by 26% to 12.5 million in 2022, compared to 9.9 million in 2021.
The value of digital payments in Tunisia has reached 831,3 million dinars, up from 576,9 million dinars in 2021, a 44% increase.
Fairly, between 2021 and 2022, the number of merchant websites increased by 10%, from 1,436 to 1,583.
