Tunisian Universities Sign Cooperation Agreements with Oakland University

First-of-its-kind cooperation, seven Tunisian Universities seek academic cooperation with Oakland University.

TUNIS — Rectors representing seven different leading Tunisian Universities across the country signed agreements with Oakland University during a first-of-its-kind cooperation signaling growing academic cooperation with American institutions.

Louay Chambra, the Dean School of Engineering and Computer Science and Marouane Kessentini, Chair Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering at the Oakland University, both met with the representatives from the following seven Tunisian Universities and signed academic agreements:

  • Université Centrale
  • Sesame University
  • ESPRIT: Ecole Sup Privée d’Ingénierie et de Technologies
  • Polytech-Intl
  • South Mediterranean University: SMU
  • Leaders University
  • Ecole Polytechnique Sousse

The strategic agreements include a total of 25 scholarships per University each year. Tunisian students will be able to study at least one semester in the US and get their Master’s degrees from the Oakland University.
