Tunisia’s history is filled with various kings, regimes, and faces, and the Tunisian passport is no exception.
Not only does the passport serve as proof of citizenship, it also facilitates the process of getting assistance from Tunisian consular personnel overseas.

The current Tunisian passport is valid for five years when issued. Tunisia’s government upgraded the dark green 32-page booklet to a newer machine-readable passport in 2003 to comply with international passport standards.
Tunisia’s passport is now ranked 72nd on the Guide Passport Ranking Index.
