Tunisian NGOs are boycotting their western funders because of the horrifying double standards in the way the West deals with different countries and their position on Palestine.
IWatch Rejects US Funding
IWatch Tunisia is a non-profit and independent Tunisian watchdog organization that aims to combat financial and administrative corruption and enhance transparency. It is one of the prominent Tunisian NGOs established after the revolution. The organization became the official point of contact for Transparency International in Tunisia in November 2013 and since 2017 is the branch of Transparency International in Tunisia.

IWatch announced the rejection of any future funding, projects, and programs coming from the current US administration. The move comes for several stated reasons including the use of UN Security Council veto against humanitarian aid towards Gaza, the biased media in conveying the reality of the ongoing Israeli war on the Palestinian people. The organization strongly condemned as well the United States’ policy shown in terms of double standards.
More Tunisian NGOs are Boycotting their Western Funders
Some more Tunisian NGOs have also announced the boycott of their Western funders for pretty much the same reasons.
The following organizations, OSAE, FTDES, and Cartographie Citoyenne are boycotting the German Rosa Luxemburg Foundation for their use of the “both sides” rhetoric and “equation of the barbaric Zionist executioner with Palestinian victims dispossessed from their land and rights”.
