Dubai based Youth Center’s Young Arab Media Leaders government-led initiative is empowering the next generations of Arab media leaders.

TUNIS, Feb. 18th, 2022 (CM). The Arab Youth Center annually hosts the strategic Young Arab Media Leaders program, which is guided and sponsored by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The program connects young Arab media leaders with other aspiring media professionals while also providing them with the requisite expertise to support the development of a positive media ecosystem and sustain the future development of the industry.

The fourth edition of the two-week Young Arab Media Leaders Program comes to an end this Friday. It enrolled approximately 50 young participants as part of a government-led initiative to develop and nurture future generations of media professionals.

The program is based on a number of pillars that provide opportunities for participants to learn, interact, develop, and implement. There have been educational courses, debates, seminars, lectures, and workshops covering a wide variety of specialized topics in traditional and digital media in efforts to sharpen the skills and develop the potential of young Arab media professionals.

The Young Arab Media Leaders program covers different topics, including communication, media studies, and leadership. It also includes site visits which take participants on tours to some of the best and most prominent media corporations worldwide. The aim is to experience best practices within authentic media contexts and acquire knowledge from leading personalities and organizations.

So far, there have been around 350 people from the MENA region who have taken part in this leading imitative.

This year, the AYC is conducting the program in partnership with several leading organizations including The National UAE, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Reuters, American University in Dubai, Sky News, CNN, The New Media Academy, Al Roeya and Bloomberg Asharq.

4 Tunisians have participated in this year’s edition of the YAML program.
