Supported by Innov’i, Expertise France, Founder Institute officially launching its 7th cohort on December, 8th 2021.

EU4Innovation, a project by Innov’i Expertise France, sponsored by the European Union, plans to expand the entrepreneurial ecosystem and create sustainable economic development in Tunisia via several entrepreneurship programs.

As part of the Innov’I project, The idea-stage accelerator, Founder Institute Tunisia, is back on track with its 7th cohort.
This time the program came back strong-willed with a new promising partnership with Linedata sharing the mission of fostering innovation through entrepreneurship.

Founder Institute Tunisia

“At the Founder Institute Tunisia, we have been testing the waters for the past 5 years to help build this ecosystem and understand it. Now is a new time, a time for a change, and for exponential growth. This is why we are excited to bring on incredible partners such as Innov’i, and Linedata to ambitiously achieve in 18 months what took us 5 years or what we did in 5 years.” Stated Emna Ghariani, the global director MENA region of founder Institute, when asked about her thoughts about the coming steps at Founder Institute.

After running 6 successive cohorts with a challenging business-building process, Founder Institute managed to create over 135 jobs through 37 startups in just 14 week-long programs.

MooMe, Watt now, and Vynd are some substantial startups alumni of the Founder Institute, that were able to raise funding and establish their brand equity in the Tunisian market.

With its startup launch program, Founder Institute Tunisia continues on creating opportunities for professionals to help them make the shift from employee to employer and build impactful technology startups.

The program provides professional support and mentorship for potential entrepreneurs through a selection of practical courses and assignments, followed by the guidance of well-established mentors.

Founder Institute Tunisia has about 146 mentors. Namely, Chris Barton, CEO of Shazam, Jeff Bonforte, senior vice president of Yahoo, Zakaria Belkhouja, Chief Investment Officer at Meninx Holding, Noomen Fehri, Former Minister of Communications & Digital Economy, and many assets from the ecosystem.

Founder Institute is distinguished by its global network of entrepreneurs, mentors, and program managers who provide lifetime support for the graduated founders. It aims to create a large ecosystem of entrepreneurs to generate social impact in Tunisia.

“I don’t believe in governments, I believe in entrepreneurs, they alone can disrupt economies,” mentioned Emna Ghariani, the global director MENA region of the founder Institute in an interview with Forbes magazine.
