What is Rotaract?

Rotaract is the youth wing of Rotary International. You shall be a part of an international community of people all acting for one common goal – the welfare of people around us!

The main purpose of Rotaract is to provide opportunities for youth to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people across the glove through a framework of friendship and service.

How Rotaract Mouvement Works?

A Rotaract club is a social activist club for young adults, ages 18-30, in college and just out of college young professionals.

Each club is different but mainly they consist of sharing time together in fellowship and for networking, a guest speaker of some sort, as well as a high concentration on volunteering for the good of their local, national, and international community.

Rotaract in Tunisia

Rotaract came to Tunisia in the 70’s, making it one of the forerunners of the MENA region. The first Tunisian Club was founded back in 1974, The “Rotaract Club Tunis Doyen”. It was followed by the launch of “Rotaract Club Tunis Sud” in the 80s, then Clubs of Tunis-El-Menzah and Sfax Doyen respectively in 1992 and 1993.

The real upsurge of the Rotaract movement in Tunisia began in the mid-2000s; starting with the Hammam-Lif and Nabeul Neapolis Clubs in 2004.

Well, there are currently 51 Rotaract Clubs in Tunisia, for a total of 1300 Rotaractors.

Rotaract Club Tunis Ennasr is a service club that aims to train young adults and engage them in public service activities. Founded in 2009, this club, which has today about 30 members, has been a forerunner in the organization of many successful humanitarian actions (Caravane de Santé, Gen’Hair’Eux…).

For its 10th anniversary, the club has chosen this year to highlight the number 10 by multiplying partnerships with other Rotaract clubs and working with them on many actions.
